Persona 5 Tips: Here's A Simple Way To Negotiate With Demons

Negotiating with demons is one of the returning features from Shin Megami Tensei that made its way to the latest installment. Here are some simple Persona 5 tips to take note of when trying to recruit new demons.

The latest game in the Persona franchise brings back some familiar elements from the first two titles, which are essential features in the Shin Megami Tensei franchise. The third and fourth installment let players choose which Personas they could keep through card shuffling or direct picking. This time, P5 players must utilize their gift of the gab to recruit and expand their Personas.

Persona 5 Tips To Swaying Demons

While the dialogue system may not be as complex as SMTIV or Persona 2, there are still a few things to take note of. Redditor Not_Just_Any_Lurker recently posted a screenshot on the website revealing an easy way to talk with demons. To begin with, there is a total of four personality types who have their own interests during conversations. By making use of the Analysis function, they can easily figure out the enemy's personality type and pick the correct answers.

Firstly, the Upbeat demons prefer Funny answers rather than the Serious or Vague options. Timid demons, on the other hand, prefer the Kind option rather than Vague or Funny. Meanwhile, Irritable demons like the Serious answers instead of trying to be Funny or Vague. Finally, Gloomy demons like the Vague options instead of the Funny or Serious ones.

Earning Trust After Negotiating With Demons

Once players manage to win the heart of a certain demon, they will no longer need to do the negotiations anymore during combat, as per Kotaku. This is incredibly useful when players choose to fuse their Personas as they can easily recruit the previous demon without any hassle.

The key to combat is by switching among the various demons to take advantage of the enemy weakness. Negotiating with demons is one of the best ways to find fusion fodder that they can use to create better units.
