According to CNET, Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ owners get a bunch of perks from Google. This includes 100,000 free song uploads to Google Play Music and a music subscription for streaming purposes for straight three months. The Galaxy S8 comes with a group of Samsung and carrier-specific apps preinstalled. Carriers such as T-Mobile, Verizon, AT&T and Sprint fill your smartphone with branded apps you don't actually need. Note that you can always uninstall these in order to spare the space into much more important applications.

Thanks to Galaxy S8’s software, owners can always see notifications in the edge part of the display. In order to activate this, go to Settings, Display and Edge Screen. Then toggle the Edge lighting feature of the smartphone to turn them on.

Bixby, Samsung's personal assistant, has a new exclusively dedicated button on the Galaxy S8. As of now, this is not yet available. However, Samsung says that the assistant will be ready soon. The tip is, be updated about this feature so that when Bixby arrives, your smartphone will be prepared.

The first thing a new smartphone owner should do, after powering up and transferring data to it, of course, is to set up all of the different unlock methods the Galaxy S8 offers. Head to the Settings app on the phone, then Lock Screen and tick on the Security to set them all up. There are three ways to unlock your phone: using your face, your eyes, or your fingers.

The Samsung Galaxy S8’s software interface is quite nice and attractive than the older devices, as reported by The Verge. With this high-quality display, owners can easily download different themes to completely change the look. To do this, go to Settings, Wallpapers, and Themes then browse the various themes available.

Samsung's flagship phone doesn't have a home button. Despite that, don't let this feature stop you from taking screenshots for your personal records. There's a new way in order to get screenshots easily. Press the power and volume-down buttons at the same time and you will have a camera shutter. Go to the gallery and you will see the screenshot you made.
