Persona 5 Music Goes Classical With This New Vinyl Soundtrack

Persona 5 contains some catchy jazzy tunes that help bring the game to life. Now, fans will get the chance to secure a copy of the vinyl soundtrack.

Persona 5 Vinyl Soundtrack Coming Soon

According to GameSpot, P5's impressive soundtrack just hit iTunes but it will be getting its very own vinyl too. Atlus has collaborated with iam8bit to produce two versions of the soundtrack on vinyl. Fans can get the 4xLP version that has been "curated" with the game's most popular music, which was chosen by the Atlus Sound team. On the other hand, players can also opt to purchase the 6xLP edition that has the complete soundtrack with all 110 songs.

Both versions will come in "quality box sets" with Atlus even sharing some teaser images. However, fans will have to wait for the official box art as the teaser lacked the proper artwork. However, Atlus mentioned that this is an "intimate collaboration" between them, Sega, iam8bit and a soon-to-be-announced special artist.

Those who want their own copy can already preorder through iam8bit's website. The curated copy is on sale for $100 while the complete edition is $175. Keep in mind that only 1,000 copies are being made so those who really want a vinyl should pre-order now. Both copies will ship in Q4 2017 during the holiday season.

Current Status Of The Copyright Controversy

That aside, The Verge shares that Atlus has loosened up with its previous copyright controversy. Fans now have the option to stream up to the in-game date of 11 / 19 instead of the previous 7 / 7. The developers have been extremely meticulous about the content that players share in order to avoid any possible spoilers for those who are still playing the game.

Those who violated the rules would suffer severe consequences like a channel strike or account suspension. Despite Atlus' intentions, many fans were outraged by this decision and many of them still leaked spoilers online. With its recent changes, perhaps more players can enjoy Persona 5 on the PS3 and PS4.
