Yandere Simulator Has Been Taking These Tips From Persona 5

Persona 5 has taken fans by storm for its stunning dungeon exploration, streamlined turn-based battles, and high school simulation. The Yandere Simulator developer has shared his thoughts on the JRPG and how it influenced his own game.

Siliconera shares that the developer had recently begun sharing videos that explained the various things he learned about developing games. He also noted several titles he took inspiration from like Hitman and the Persona series.

In line with this, he posted a new video on his development blog going into deeper detail about the tips he learned from Persona 5 and its predecessors. One obvious similarity they share some kind of third eye feature that shows the finer details in the game. The video also brought up the scheduled time system wherein both games progress on a day-to-day basis. Players will have to spend their time wisely when it comes to their objective as they only have a certain amount of time to complete their task. This feature also helps Yandere Simular from being too loose of a game.

Another obvious factor they share is their visual and Japanese setting. Both games share the "Japanese high school feel" with the Yandere game aiming for a living and breathing school setting. There will be many factors that will happen in the school like memorial services and a Karma system that affects Yandere's social status.

With this in mind, it seems like the simulation game will have a more dynamic high school setting as the game mainly takes place in that setting. Persona 5 offered players several activities in the school but nothing that would ultimately affect the entire game. Moreover, most school scenes are scripted and turned into cutscenes or in-game events. Fans will have to wait for more information about Yandere Simulator and its official release date.
