Samsung prepping Galaxy Note 8.0 in sleek brown color?

Samsung launched the Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 in April, but it appears the new tablet is already getting an update, at least color-wise.

Samsung is reportedly getting ready to release a selection of new colors for its Galaxy Note 8.0 line, starting with the color brown.

The brown Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 is rumored for release in mid-June, according to Unwired View, although Samsung has yet to formally announce the new color. The Galaxy Note 8.0's Samsung S Pen will also be colorized to match the tablet's new tone.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 is rumored to eventually come in red, grey and brown colors. The color brown, it seems, is one step closer to release, though there's no word on the alleged red or grey versions. No word, yet, on any updated accessories to match the tablet's color, although, according to Android Community, they can be expected.

For those who are unfamiliar, the Galaxy Note 8.0 is 8.3 inches long with a width of 5.4-inches and a depth of 0.3-inches. The device weighs 11.7 ounces and features a Samsung Exynos 4412, 1.6GHz processor, and an 8-inch, 1280X800 display which can display 189 pixels-per-inch. The tablet has two cameras: a front-facing 1.3-megapixel camera and a rear-facing 5-megapixel camera, can store up to 64 GB and holds 2 GB of RAM. The Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 runds Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean), although it can also support Android 5.0 (Key Lime Pie), which is yet to be released, and can hold a 4,600 mAh charge.

The tablet also features the popular Samsung S Pen, common to the Galaxy Note smartphones. The pen is stored in a small silo on the lower right of the Note 8.0, and can be used to take notes. The pen also features a hover mode, which can let users easily display information and scroll through windows.

An LTE version of the popular tablet is rumored to be announced, and released, in the next few months.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 is available now (in white), and retails for $399.
