The recently leaked image of Google Pixel 2 is suggesting for a nearly bezel-free screen design for the smartphone. Although the image is small and very challenging to see in order to create with bigger details, still, it is clear enough to show that the smartphone is mostly similar when compared with its predecessor.
According to Android Headline, Google Pixel and Pixel XL are the two smartphones that have the two-toned look on the rear part that features a matte finish. In the same manner, the leaked image of the Google Pixel 2 looks exactly the same with black metal at the back as the cover and Black glass on the top portion.
This specific part of the handset is what should be of interest in the image that has been leaked, as the top of the smartphone is where the rear-facing camera is located. Aside from that, the image also shows that the Pixel 2 will come with dual rear camera sensors just like other flagship smartphones from rival brands. The camera of the upcoming Pixel 2 is said to be 16-megapixel and paired with an 8-megapixel front-facing camera.
Apart from the design, the leak alleges that the anticipated Google Pixel 2 will come powered by Qualcomm's latest chip, the Snapdragon 835 processor, which was recently affirmed to possibly be in development. As reported by BGR, the Pixel 2 will also be unveiled running Android O. “This information comes from a reliable source, but release dates are always, always subject to change,” said Android Police’s David Ruddock on Twitter.
Apple's iOS 11 might be the discussion on the internet right now, but it’s not the only anticipated operating system update. Google’s Android O is actually assumed to be released before iOS 11 arrives, still, a new report confirms that Google’s Pixel phones might take it as soon as early to mid-August. Does this mean that Google Pixel 2 and Android O will be unveiled simultaneously in August?
