Adult Swim did a great job at giving fans the most unexpected April Fool’s prank when it suddenly released the real and official first episode of “Rick and Morty” Season 3. However, the rest of the episodes have yet to be revealed. While fans are hoping for a summer comeback, the people working on the said show have revealed more details on what to expect in the new season.
The first episode of “Rick and Morty” Season 3 featured the rescuing of Rick from his clones. After successfully being saved by Morty and Summer, Rick revealed his real intentions. He confessed that he had to return home with his grandchildren so his daughter will accept him and all the ruckus he has done was to get Jerry and Beth separated, which he probably succeeded in doing so.
Ryan Ridley, writer for “Rick and Morty” revealed that fans have been wondering about certain characters as to when are they coming back and what is happening to them. Ridley pointed out that people are thinking if evil Morty from Season 1 will ever return and it seems like it will happen in the third season. With Rick losing a grasp on his mental state as shown in the first episode of the new season, it won’t be a surprise to see evil Morty swooping in.
“Rick and Morty” Season 3 was officially announced in April this year and the rest of the season is reportedly set to air this summer. Adult Swim has already slated the new installment to air 14 episodes. The next episode is titled “Rickmancing the Stone” and it is written by Jane Becker. Fans are speculating that the next episode will focus on Beth and Jerry’s divorce, Rick’s currently questionable mental state, and the awaited appearance of a cyborg character named Phoenix Person.
