It appears that Ubisoft wants to impress the gaming industry by announcing another new video game titled South Park: Phone Destroyer. The game developer already has a new South Park game in development but with this announcement, it is now undertaking an additional project. Apparently, this new title will be designed for the mobile platform.
Fans Are Still Waiting For The First New Game
Game fans have been waiting for Ubisoft's first new project titled South Park: The Fractured But Whole. But the game publisher appeared to have been stingy in releasing any information about its release date and has not even shown any teaser trailer before. Thankfully, some reports indicated that a trailer for this game was previewed at E3 2017.
The trailer of South Park: The Fractured But Whole featured the well-loved character Timmy whose vocabulary was very limited. But in this new trailer, Timmy is shown using his telepathic powers to talk to Cartman. It is not certain though if Cartman is only imagining things. Anyways, the game developer also announced that it will be released on Oct. 17.
The Second New Game Will Be Card-Based
Meanwhile, Ubisoft also showed a teaser trailer of the newly announced additional game South Park: Phone Destroyer at E3 2017. The game developer showed the trailer during its press conference at the event. From the scant information taken from the trailer, it appears that this new game will be a card-based combat type. It will be populated by the characters of South Park, the animated TV series.
The trailer showed battles between several factions in the game. It seems that South Park: Phone Destroyer features a slew of characters that include cops, cowboys, clerks, barbs, choirboys, princesses, native Indians and much more. The reveal trailer showed cops fighting cowboys, cowboys fighting native Indians, clerics fighting barbs and many more. Ubisoft's promo says that gamers will be able to interact with these characters through text messages and iOS-style voice calls. The game is set to launch this year.
