Samsung has already released its flagship Android smartphone, the Galaxy S4, and now all eyes are on the upcoming Galaxy Note 3, expected to launch in September this year. According to a company insider, Samsung will start mass production of the Galaxy Note 3 in August.
Samsung unveiled the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 on Aug. 29 at the Berlin Radio Show in 2012. The handset hit the Korean shelves in Sept. and then reached other markets a month later.
A recent report indicates that Samsung may launch the Galaxy Note 3 as early as July or Aug. 2013. The reason for Galaxy Note 3 to make an early entry seems to be the less-than-expected sales figure of the recently launched Galaxy S4. Interestingly, though, the handset sold over 10 million units just within 30 days of release.
According to an ETNews report, an insider at Wireless Business Division at Samsung Electronics said that the company "had reduced the order to each suppliers at the similar rates. Since we will start placing orders for follow-up models, such as Galaxy Note III, from August, the impact to suppliers will be minimal."
The Galaxy Note 2 is still one of the most powerful phablets around, but other handsets are joining the bandwagon with the launch of bigger-sized smartphones. The phablet has taken over the hearts of millions of smartphone enthusiasts and now customers will hope that Samsung deploys its best in the upcoming Galaxy Note 3.
At the launch of the Galaxy Note 2, the smartphone was the first Samsung device to run on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. Rumors indicate that the Galaxy Note 3 may come running on Android 4.3 Jelly Bean or even the Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie.
Rumors suggest that the Galaxy Note 3 will make its appearance at the IFA Event in Berlin in September this year.
