The much-awaited smaller sibling of the flagship HTC One, dubbed the HTC One Mini or HTC M4, has surfaced online on the GFX Benchmark site, giving us a peek into specs of the smartphone.
Earlier in July, we reported that the HTC One Mini was set for a Q3 release and the appearance of the smartphone on GFXBench hints that the launch is not very far.
Rumors have been rife that the HTC One Mini will launch in Germany in August on carrier O2, with reports hinting at either an Aug. 3 or Aug. 2 debut. Now, the HTC One Mini has revealed its internals on the GFXBench site and the listed information of the device matches the rumored specs. The benchmark results also reveal the "3D Graphics Performance of HTC One mini m4".
The HTC One Mini has been spotted housing a dual-core 1.4GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor and Adreno 305 GPU. The benchmark results also reveal that the impending smartphone's 3D graphics performance is nearly 60 percent to 7 percent lower than bigger brother HTC One.
The 4.3-inch smartphone will apparently have 720 x 1280 pixels resolution, which works out to a pixel density of 343ppi. Moreover, the benchmark result discloses that the HTC One Mini will come pre-loaded with Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean.
The GFXBench did not disclose the memory and native storage capacities. Rumors have pointed to 2GB if RAM and 16GB of on-bard storage for the handset. The HTC One Mini is also expected to tout a 4.3-UltraPixel rear-facing camera and front-facing stereo speakers with Beats audio technology. The GPS-enabled phone will likely house a 1700mAh battery and could come with an anodized aluminum unibody design like the HTC One.
No information on the release date of the handset is currently known; however, reports have suggested that the HTC One Mini will be offered by carriers AT&T and T-Mobile in the U.S.
