Excitement surrounding the third-gen Galaxy Note is palpable as leaks and rumors surrounding the impending Samsung phablet are gaining momentum. Now an image of the Galaxy Note 3 has surfaced online yet again, giving fans a closer look at the much-awaited smartphone.
This is not the first instance of alleged images of the Galaxy Note 3 have leaked online and comes close on the heels of the leak from Samsung's testing center. We recently reported that images of the supposed Galaxy Note 3 smartphone had leaked online and were apparently taken at the Korean company's testing center. The images had suggested that the Galaxy Note 3 was being assembled by workers and nearing its release.
Now TechKiddy has managed to lay its hands on images of what is purportedly the Galaxy Note 3. The blog has received the images from a source who claims the device shown in the image is a Galaxy Note 3 prototype. Incidentally, this is the same source who was responsible for the blurry images of the upcoming handset.
"Few days ago,Images of Galaxy Note III leak out directly from Samsung Testing centre but they were blurred so we are unable to see any sharp details but this time same tipster has send us an image and claimed that this is the prototype of Galaxy Note III," notes TechKiddy.
The leaked images show the Galaxy Note 3 with rectangular corners and a square design, suggesting that the image could indeed be of a prototype.
Rumors have been rife that Samsung has been working on three different screens for the 5.7-inch Galaxy Note 3. The premium variant of the phablet will tout a flexible OLED screen, the Asian variant will have a Super AMOLED FHD glass panel and the European variant will apparently get the LCD FHD screen.
Under the hood, the device will likely house the Exynos 5420 SoC (meant for the international variant) or the Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor (for the U.S. variant). The Galaxy Note 3 is also expected to tout a 13-megapixel primary camera and 3GB of RAM.
Samsung is speculated to announce the Galaxy Note 3 at the IFA event in Berlin this September. Until then, we will have to contend with the spate of leaks and take them with a pinch of salt.
