Apple's Final Cut Pro upgrades are coming in the near future. The tech giant commits to its users in response to their latest plea to CEO Tim Cook.
It comes after the premium video editing software of the Cupertino tech company received a recent backlash from a hundred movie and TV video editors in the form of a highly publicized open letter.
Apple appears to have listened to their clamor, giving them an official response a few weeks after it has been the talk of the town. It also committed a few changes to Final Cut Pro, which should further strengthen its community.
Apple's Final Cut Pro Backlash
As per a news story by PetaPixel, a total of one hundred Final Cut Pro editors from film and TV production previously signed an open letter asking Apple to add more features to its video editing app.
Moreover, its big-production users also asked the tech firm to support third-party apps, which they say has been the standard for other software catering to this level of content editing.
On top of these requests, the open letter also raised the idea of expanding the current number of Final Cut Pro editors who will train other users.
To be fair, the signatories, which include folks from hit shows like Bridgerton, also praised the video editing software of Apple, according to a recent report by Tech Radar.
The letter to Cook also boldly stated that Final Cut Pro is "the biggest leap forward in editing technology since the move to digital."
Apple's Final Cut Pro Upgrades
A few weeks have passed since the Final Cut Pro backlash. Now, Apple publicly responded to the clamor of its large number of users -- mostly folks from big-production.
The tech giant behind Final Cut Pro took the chance to boast how Final Cut Pro is widely used in massive content creation, such as multi-million dollar advertisements, Hollywood films, and even sought-after TV series.
After which, the Cupertino tech firm blurted out a few commitments to its users. It is a clear response to their recent publicized letter.
It vows to launch new training products with Future Media Concepts this May. Plus, it promised to have regular consultations with industry experts this summer.
Apple went on to say that it has "plans in place to help address" the feature requests of its users.
However, the tech firm added that there is still a "need to build on those efforts and work alongside you to help support your film and TV projects."
