HTC One in blue avatar coming to Sprint on Sept. 10

The blue version of the HTC One may launch on Sprint as soon as Sept. 10.

Rumors of the blue HTC One have been circling the smartphone space for quite some time. Recently, an outer shell of the blue HTC One emerged online.

Moreover, a user was also spotted using the blue variant of the handset while traveling by train.

The Taiwanese company launched the HTC One earlier this year and the handset was released in Glacier Silver and Stealth Black color options. The smartphone is now available on all four major carriers in the U.S. The company also launched a new Glamour Red color of the handset in a bid to attract more customers.

However, all the three colors are not available on all four carriers in the U.S. AT&T has black and silver color variants, while Verizon and T-Mobile are selling only the silver version of the handset. Sprint is the only carrier in the country to offer all the three hues of the handset.

"One of our loyal readers sent us a screenshot showing a Sprint road map. And on that road map was the blue HTC One with a launch date scheduled for September 10th 2013," reports Phone Arena.

Previous rumors indicated that the blue HTC One may head to Verizon. If the new Phone Arena report is to be believed, however, then Sprint customers can also pick from a new color option.

The hardware specifications of the blue avatar of the HTC One won't be any different than any of the other color versions. However, as some select international models of the HTC One have started receiving the Android 4.3 Jelly Bean software update, users will hope to get the latest Jelly Bean flavor pre-loaded on the blue variant of the handset out of the box.

Sprint has neither confirmed nor announced a release date for the blue HTC One. As such, we will have to wait till Sept. 10 to see if the carrier actually launches the blue HTC One.

If you are looking to buy a new HTC One, which of the four colors would you pick?
