But how about in the United States or the entire North American region?

Tesla Model 3, Model Y Delivery Time Reduced

The delivery wait time for Tesla EVs has been stretched to a couple of weeks due to various supply issues and the increasing demand.

But in China, the estimated delivery of Tesla vehicles is now seeing much reduced waiting time.

According to a recent report by Reuters, the delivery wait time of Tesla customers in China who ordered the rear-wheel-drive (RWD) Model Y has been cut between one to four weeks by the end of August.

The news outlet notes that the giant automaker shortened the waiting time for the Model Y RWD twice last month.

The first delivery time reduction in August reduced the waiting period for the Model Y RWD to four to eight weeks. And before the month ended, it got shorter than ever.

This time, as per the news story by Inside EVs, Tesla is expanding its delivery time reduction in China, which now includes more Model Y variants and the Model 3 sedan.

Tesla Model Y Long Range AWD, Performance Estimated Delivery

The Model Y Long Range all-wheel-driver (AWD) now only asks customers to wait for roughly 10 to 14 weeks.

The reduced estimated delivery time still requires some patience, but it is a significant improvement from the previous 16 to 20 weeks wait time.

The Model Y Performance now flaunts a shorter delivery time of six to 10 weeks from the previous 12 to 16 weeks waiting period.

It is worth mentioning that the RWD version, which reduced its delivery time last August, sees no change.

Model 3 RWD, Performance Delivery Waiting Time

Meanwhile, the Model 3 Performance estimated delivery time has been reduced to six to 10 weeks from the previous 12 to 16 weeks.

The RWD variant of the Tesla electric sedan also shortens its delivery waiting period to six to 10 weeks.

Reduced Delivery Wait Time in Europe?

The reduction in delivery waiting time only applies to China as of writing. But it is important to point out that the made-in-China Tesla EVs also ship to Europe. So European customers might also experience a reduced estimated delivery time soon.

On the other hand, the delivery wait time in North America remains long, and there are no signs that it is about to change.
