Apple to Release Developer Beta Version
"By default, your iPad and/or iPhone apps will be published automatically on the App Store on Apple Vision Pro," the company wrote on a post.
The announcement further confirmed that the visionOS framework is supported by iPadOS and iOS. This is great news for interested buyers who are having doubts on the compatibility issues of the device. Most of the apps from both iPad and iPhone will run unmodified.
In addition, app developers can might have a relief sigh since they probably won't have to do extra work to modify their existing apps. Apple also advised that if an app turns out to be unavailable for Vision Pro, they can try exploring the App Store Connect.
Apple Vision Pro Progress
Apple made a head-turning news after announcing the Vision Pro headset during the World Wide Developer Conference last June. The device, however, will not be available until the early 2024 for the US markets and 2025 for third-party retailers.
The AR/VR headset will be Apple's first spatial computer that aims to "seamlessly blends digital content with the physical world, allowing users to stay present and connected to others."
Meanwhile, Apple advised the developers to use the SDK to add 3D elements on their apps as well as the support for hand gestures for a "more natural" experience with the Vision Pro.
