Octopath Traveler II to Debut in Xbox, PC
Square Enix is now expanding its library of game titles on Microsoft platforms starting with the PC and Xbox. The first installment Octopath Traveler was originally available to Xbox Game Pass in 2021, however the game was removed a month after Octopath Traveler II was launched.
Octopath Traveler II is a role-playing game that introduced new characters and setting apart from the prequels. According to Square Enix, the game can be treated as sequel or a stand alone game.
The game highlights the adventure of eight characters as they take on a journey to the land of Solistia. Each characters have their own purpose on the vast world of the game.
Square Enix Titles on Microsoft
Xbox gamers and Octopath Traveler fans must have been excited with the announcement. Currently, most of the game titles made by Square Enix are not available on Xbox.
Many fans are hoping that the publication of Octopath Traveler II will open more opportunities for other Square Enix's games to be available in Xbox. In August, both Xbox and Square Enix confirmed that Final Fantasy XIV will arrive to Xbox in spring 2024.
