After years in development and a gameplay leak last year, Grand Theft Auto and Red Dead Redemption publisher Rockstar announced the possible release date for the first trailer of the much awaited GTA VI.

Rockstar to took it to X (formerly Twitter) to rev up the fanbase's engine, stating that the trailer is set to release "in early December." The game's trailer will be released along with Rockstar's 25-year anniversary.

The announcement confirms earlier speculations that the newest installation in the GTA series is soon to be out, possibly next year or in 2025. Insider reports suggests a Spring or Fall 2025 release date.

Expectedly, the big news boosted game developer Take Two Interactive's shares in the 2025 fiscal sales, jumping up to 8% in Wednesday.

What Will be GTA VI Story Be About?

There's not much really information about the main story that will be featured in the game.

It is known that the game will focus on a male and female characters, a la Bonnie and Clyde, in a fictional version of Miami. There were hints that the events of GTA VI will be in the same place as GTA: Vice City in 2002.

The biggest peek into the game was when a series of footage from the game were leaked to social media platforms. All of the 3GB gameplay videos were eventually scrubbed and the teenage hacker was found guilty of multiple offenses.

The footage revealed the player characters, Jason and Lucia, entering a strip club and doing a diner heist as police officers chase after them.

The game is expected to be priced at $70, higher than its predecessor GTA V at $60 when it came out in 2013.

While the wait is unbearable, Rockstar Games offer a wide array of other enjoyable and time-sinking games that is sure to provide the dopamine GTA players need.

The 2018 hit Red Dead Redemption II became a top contender for the Game of the Year awards with its compelling story and cinematic visuals. There are also the classics like the Bully, L.A. Noire, and the Max Payne series that is sure to take players into a whole new intriguing world.

If not, there is still the previous GTA stories and its online mode that will enable people to interact in all crazy ways as they navigate the crime-torn streets of the game.
