The Hogwarts Legacy PlayStation-exclusive content will be offered to gamers on other platforms starting this summer, along with additional updates and features.
The game will also be celebrating its first anniversary on February 10.
Hogwarts Legacy Expands Sony-Exclusive Content to Other Platforms
In an X post, game developers Warner Bros. Games and Avalanche software announced the good news to the Hogwarts Legacy community. However, it is not yet clear as to what platforms will be included in the release.
The PlayStation-exclusive content, primarily popular due to the Haunted Hogsmeade quest, is well-lauded by the players due to its intricate and immersive gameplay. Upon completion, players will get access to the Hogsmeade Shop and the Shopkeeper cosmetic set.
"Hogwarts Legacy PlayStation-exclusive content will be available on other platforms later this summer, along with additional updates and features for the game," the devs announced.
In addition, the devs also hinted that more things are coming to the game in the following months of the year.
Hogwarts Legacy Breaks Gaming Record
For the longest time Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 held the record for most sold game. However, a recent report from Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment confirmed that the "Harry Potter" game has sold 22 million units in 2023.
"It brought 'Harry Potter' to life in a new way for gamers where they could be themselves in this world, in this story," Warner Bros. Interactive president David Haddad shared.
Hogwarts Legacy also beat Rockstar Games' biggest franchises such as the Grand Theft Auto (GTA) V and Red Dead Redemption 2. However, there is a possibility for a comeback once GTA VI releases.
Meanwhile, Warner Bros. is already working on expanding the Potterverse video game world starting with a Quidditch-theme game that is already in its beta-testing phase.
