Google Photos to Offer Magic Editor for Android, iOS

Google Photos will soon extend its services to all Android and iOS devices for free. Users will get up to 10 Magic Editor library saves per month, additional edits will require a subscription to Google One Premium.

On the other hand, Pixel users are given complete access to the AI feature. Magic Editor has started rolling out to several Pixel owners with older models.

Google previously announced that it will start releasing the feature to Pixel users by May 15. As of writing, several users have reported of seeing the feature live on their phones. Others must have to wait as the rollout is expected to last for months.

Google Photos Provide Free AI Tools

Aside from Magic Editor, Google also shared that other AI-powered tools from Photos will be released for free. This includes Magic Eraser, Unblur, Sky Suggestions, and Color Pop.

Other features like Video effects, Collage Editor, Portrait Blur, Portrait Light, and HDR effects for photos and videos will be also available. However, the device should have versions of Android 8.0 or later and iOS 15 or later with at least 3GB of RAM.

Google One Premium subscription is available on several tiers. Additional access to the Magic Editor library is included for subscriptions of 2TB and above. This plan costs $19.99 per month and offers priority support with a 10% Google Store discount.
