PlayStation Plus members have access to a lot of good titles that they can't possibly finish all of the games within the month they paid for. If you're a subscriber who was encouraged to get PS Plus mainly because of Grand Theft Auto V, then we have bad news for you.
GTA V is Leaving PS Plus
PlayStation Plus occasionally removes video games that have been accessible to subscribers for months, but it's usually the ones that not many will miss. This time, however, it's removing a title that players will definitely notice.
Grand Theft Auto V is arguably one of the most popular games to date, even though it has been a little over a decade since its release. If you've been putting off the game, you're going to want to start now as it won't be free for long.
According to Digital Trends, the open-world RPG among other games will be leaving PS Plus on June 12th. You'll have more than two weeks to make the most out of the game, but with so much you can do in GTA V, it might not even be enough.
Other titles that are being removed from PS Plus include Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons, DC League of Super-Pets: The Adventures of Krypto and Ace, Dodgeball Academia, Indivisible, Monster Jam Steel Titans, MotoGP 23, The Talos Principle: Deluxe Edition, and more.
It's sad to see the game go, especially since it's the next best thing while fans wait for the release of the upcoming title from the franchise, Grand Theft Auto VI, which is expected to arrive in late 2025 or later.
The game is one of the titles that make the monthly subscription worth it. Although it's unclear why Sony is removing the game from PS Plus' vast catalog, it will definitely be a big loss for paying subscribers and might even be discouraging.
PlayStation is On Thin Eyes with Some Players
PlayStation hasn't had the easiest month as several players all over the world have criticized the entertainment giant for its decisions. It all began with the PSN requirement for Helldivers 2 for PC players, which many argued was not even necessary.
For a time, players could not do a mission without linking a PSN account first. Sony has seen the error of its ways and took back the decision, but the news wasn't all good for everyone. Until now, over 170 countries without access to the PlayStation Network still can't buy the game.
The same issue applies to another Sony exclusive, Ghost of Tsushima. The samurai-themed game set in feudal Japan has been delisted in all the non-PSN countries as well since Sony started requiring a PSN account for it.
Players expressed that a PSN account, which is needed to play online on the PlayStation platform, is not even necessary to play the majority of the game. Only the Legends multiplayer mode would benefit from it, but Sony still insists on having PC players link a PSN account.
