Netflix Revives Interest in 'Peaky Blinders'

During its early days, the series was not as popular as it is today. Murphy was already credited with some other films but his role as Thomas Shelby created a deep impact to the fans.

The show is set in Birmingham, England, and follows the life of the Peaky Blinders gang after World War I. The series was praised for its writing and production design quality.

Several actors also gained popularity through the show after impressing the fans with their performances. Aunt Polly, played by Helen McCrory, was one of the most memorable characters.

While there are no other details yet about the plot, Knight previously hinted in an interview that it would be set during World War II.
