Apple has finally released a built-in iPad calculator app with the iPadOS 18, over 14 years since the tech giant first launched the tablet.
In an early preview for its iPadOS 18, Apple touted its dedicated calculator app as a way to solve math problems and equations more interactively.
The new app will automatically access Math Notes, allowing users to write and solve math problems with their Apple Pencil.
Of course, the calculator app will come with several AI-powered features to give the app capabilities to understand, improve, and even replicate user's handwriting.
This is in addition to the graphics feature to help users insert graphs, diagrams, and illustrations into their math formulas.
Apple unveiled the new iPadOS app, along with other notable improvements, in this year's Worldwide Developers Conference.
More iPad Customization Options in iPadOS 18
Calculators and Note features are not the only improvements Apple has unveiled with the latest iPadOS 18 as it introduces more AI-powered features into its tablets.
Most notable change is the addition of more tablet customization features to give "even more options for users to express themselves."
This includes color customization for all apps and widgets, third-party apps in the Control Center, and quick connectivity features for their vehicles and other smart devices.
All of these are on top of minor improvements Apple offers to regular iPad users like removing the app's name at the bottom and a light/dark appearance option for the Home Screen.
The tab far also received a redesign, allowing the floating tab bar to transform into a sidebar for all accessibility options users can directly open.
