The latest blog post from PlayStation revealed the system requirements for its upcoming PC release of God of War: Ragnarökand it has taken the online world by storm. This is because, according to Sony, users need to allocate as much as 190GB in their SSDs to play the game, and it is important to note that this is its minimum storage requirement.

While its recommended storage is the same to its minimum, this is a massive figure for a game, especially as SSDs do not come cheap, and most gamers have other titles already installed.

The game will also be exclusive to Windows PC releases via Steam with the significant requirements from Sony needed for the upcoming return to the Nine Realms.

Here's What to Expect for God of War: Ragnarök

Apart from the almost 200GB storage asked of users, which is twice the size of the PlayStation 5 version, there are also other important requirements to note. One of which is that God of War: Ragnarök is expected to drop this September 19.

It should also be noted that it also asks for an 8GB minimum for its memory, alongside 1080P @30 fps, a Windows 10 64-bit operating system, Intel i5-4670K or AMD Ryzen 3 1200 for its CPU, and NVIDIA GTX 1060 or AMD RX 5500 XT for its graphics.

God of War's Franchise and Ragnarök's Success

Sony and Sony Sta. Monica's God of War franchise has been around for almost two decades now, and it has since been an iconic game in the market. Among gamers, it has been famous for its single-player brutal action adventure centering on Greek mythology. However, since its 2018 release, the company has revamped Kratos' story, with this refresh putting him among the Norse gods.

While it was not God of War 4, it was still a successful release from Sony Sta. Monica, and has since been revered as one of the top games in the franchise.

God of War: Ragnarök has delivered a conclusion to Kratos' story, but does not yet signal the franchise's end. It should be noted that the series was supposedly a trilogy, but it was all combined in this release.

After a long wait for PS4's God of War to come to PCs, the same thing happened for God of War: Ragnarökwhich has similarly been long awaited by gamers since almost two years ago. Now, with the game coming this September and Sony's release of its system requirements for the game, PC users can now better prepare for its arrival.
