Pixel 9 Pro Models: Google Event Reveals Pixel 9 Pro, Pixel 9 Pro XL, and Pixel 9 Pro Fold

Shortly after Google confirmed the Pixel 9 releases via a teaser last July, the Made by Google event has finally introduced the latest models from the lineup. There are now three Pro models for the Pixel 9, which are the Pixel 9 Pro, the Pixel 9 Pro XL, and the Pixel 9 Pro Fold.

Google also stressed on all three models' improved power as well as their improvements, particularly with its onboard artificial intelligence (AI) with Gemini.

In Google's latest Made by Google event, the tech giant emphasized that "The magic is back" with its introduction of the latest models to be added to the Pixel lineup, which is none other than the Pixel 9. The Pixel 9's new models have doubled in number compared to last year's release, which only involved the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro.

There is only one base model in this release, which is the Pixel 9, while the rest of the models are all Pixel 9 Pro models. These are the Pixel 9 Pro, Pixel 9 Pro XL, and the rebranded Pixel 9 Pro Fold.

It has been claimed that this is the first time Google is offering more than one model under the Pro branding. In this case, it is the Pixel 9 Pro and Pixel 9 Pro XL. These models are seen as parallels to Apple's iPhone Pro and Pro Max releases.

When it comes to specs, the Pixel 9 Pro features a 6.3-inch screen while the Pixel 9 Pro XL offers 6.8 inches of display. Both smartphones feature the new Super Actua LTPO display from Google, which can deliver up to 120hz refresh rate. It has been revealed by Google that both devices share almost the same specs except for their screen size, battery capacity, charging speeds, and power.

Pixel 9 Pro offers only 4700mAh and can charge up to 55 percent in 30 minutes, while the Pixel 9 Pro XL is equipped with a 5060mAh battery and can charge up to 70 percent in half an hour. These models make use of Google's 45W USB-C charger. However, the charger is not included in the box.

Both devices feature the latest-gen Google SoC and the Tensor G4, alongside the Titan M2 security coprocessor.
