The latest Fortnite x Marvel crossover is nearing, and the battle royale game has now shared the new Chapter 5 Season 4 map, which sets the foundations for the upcoming season-long clash. Doctor Doom may have been available to Fortnite before, but this time, he is now the main villain to fight against with themed places honoring the Marvel baddie popping up.

In just a little over a day, Absolute Doom will make its debut in the game, and it is expected to showcase Marvel's iconic heroes and villains.

Fortnite Unveils Chapter 5 Season 4 Map with New Locations

Three new locations are set to pop up on Fortnite for its upcoming Chapter 5 Season 4 Marvel crossover known as Absolute Doom. The game's X account showing off the new map dedicated to the villain.

Fantastic Four fans may be familiar with two of these as Castle Doom, which is known to be Victor von Doom's base of operations in the comics, appears above Fortnite's Lavish Lair. The next one is Doomstadt, which has replaced the underworld from Chapter 5 Season 2.

Lastly, there is The Raft, a maximum security prison housing the most notorious villains in Marvel Comics that is best known to be underwater. It set to appear in Fortnite below the Doomstadt location.

Fortnite's Absolute Doom Marvel Crossover Release Date

Players will be able to visit these three new locations offered by Absolute Doom's new map on the battle island, but these locations are not totally harmless. In fact, players should be wary of threats that may spring from time to time.

Fortnite's upcoming Chapter 5 Season 4 Absolute Doom content will be available this Friday, August 16. Players should take note that the game will go dark in preparation for the crossover. The downtime is expected to take place on August 15 at 11 p.m. EST or 8 p.m. PST.

Fortnite and its Marvel Crossovers in the Past

Fortnite and Marvel's collaborations have continued to delight both fans of the game and fans of the comic book franchise. The good news is, there is so much more to look forward to. While Absolute Doom will surely keep fans satisfied once it's released, future collaborations may involve the Disney Villains as well as "The Incredibles."

The earliest collaboration between Fortnite and Marvel is 2020's Nexus War, which can be found in Chapter 2 of Season 4. The first crossover featured iconic "Avengers" heroes like Iron Man, She-Hulk, and Thor, Guardians of the Galaxy's Groot, X-Men's Wolverine, Storm, and Mystique, and lastly, Doctor Doom.

Additionally, it also brought out one of Marvel's most iconic villains, Galactus, as the main boss to defeat.

Later releases have included more characters from the Marvel franchise, with a notable Fortnite x Marvel Zero War release that transcended to both the comics and the game.

It is now Doctor Doom's time to shine and torment not only comic book heroes but also the Battle Island. Fans of the character should definitely look forward to Chapter 5 Season 4's Absolute Doom map, which will be released very, very soon.
