Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp Mobile is Shutting Down in Late Fall
Nintendo announced to its fans that Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp is shutting down later this year, and its online services will no longer be available for players to access.
This is the free mobile version of the game that was made available for Android and iOS devices. The game was released in 2017, ahead of New Horizons, which was released three years later in 2020.
Users will only have until November 28, 2024, at 3:00 p.m. UTC to access the online version of the game, and after that, the servers will be shut down by Nintendo.
New Animal Crossing Mobile App is Coming from Nintendo
Despite this unfortunate news, Nintendo revealed that it is set to replace the online free game with an offline one. However, for the new app, it will require a one-time payment to purchase it from app stores. It will no longer require subscriptions to access what the game offers, including the Pocket Camp Club.
It was revealed by Nintendo that this offline game will have the same gameplay and controls as Pocket Camp. However, there will be several features that will no longer be accessible. This includes Market Boxes, gifts, and visiting other campsites. Leaf Ticketts will no longer be usable.

It was not until 2020 when Nintendo released the game for the console, introducing Animal Crossing: New Horizons, which became an instant hit among players. To date, it is still one of the most iconic titles on the Nintendo Switch
Despite it being a four-year-old game, it still has a lot of players that log in daily and enjoy the simulation title. There is a lot to experience on New Horizons, and it also offers a unique experience that lets users travel to visit their friends and other islands. Players have also the opportunity to explore the social experiences available.
Animal Crossing's Pocket Camp mobile has been a staple for many users who want to experience the series on-the-go, but Nintendo already decided that it is time for the app to go. Despite this, a new version of the game is coming, an offline one that will let players continue enjoying this well-loved series.
