The elusive Google Nexus 6 smartphone made in collaboration with Motorola is now in stock and ready to ship from US Cellular.
Google's first phablet, the Nexus 6, has stirred lots of interest since its debut, but it has been quite difficult to come by. The smartphone went in and out of stock in no time on Google Play, as well as Motorola's website, and it appears that demand has so far severely overwhelmed supply.
The Motorola-made Nexus 6 comes with top-notch specs and features all around, in addition to the much-touted Nexus experience that guarantees timely updates as soon as a new version of Android comes out. The handset also served as a launch vehicle for the new Android 5.0 Lollipop, which means that it rocks the latest OS version straight out of the box. At the same time, however, the smartphone is also more expensive compared to previous Nexus iterations, and many interested buyers prefer to get a carrier version at a subsidized price.
AT&T, Sprint, and T-Mobile have already started offering the smartphone back in November, and now US Cellular has the Nexus 6 in stock as well.
US Cellular is now offering the Google Nexus 6 for a starting price of $199.99 with a two-year contract. This price is for the 32GB Midnight Blue model of the smartphone, but the carrier is also offering the higher-capacity 64GB option, also in Midnight Blue, for $249.99 on-contract. Keep in mind, however, that these prices are for new customers and don't include the $40 activation fee.
The Nexus 6 is also available contract-free from US Cellular, with the 32GB model selling for $660 outright and the 64GB variant going up to $730.
At the same time, US Cellular is also offering the Nexus 6 on a monthly installment basis for $0 down with its "Shared Connect" plans. Interested customers can get the 32GB model for $33.00 per month or the 64GB variant for $36.50 per month.
