It is no question that "Dark Souls 3" will receive two DLCs prior to its conclusion. And while FromSoftware has been very outspoken about it, little has been known about these upcoming contents. Latest reports suggest that the first expansion could actually arrive in August, contrary to the previously reported September release.
In the past few weeks or so, "Dark Souls 3" first DLC was said to arrive sometime in fall this year. In fact, many believe the studio is aiming to unleash it in September. From there, no further revelation was either heard from developer FromSoftware or publisher Bandai Namco.
But now, as reported by Christian Times, the first "Dark Souls 3" could actually arrive in August -- particularly on the last week of the month. So far, nothing has been made official. Heck, even the devs have yet to confirm the news. Nonetheless, the hint reportedly came from a viable source close to the studio.
If the first "Dark Souls 3" DLC would really arrive on the said month, then an announcement should be expected anytime soon. Also, if it gets released by the August time frame, then it only took five months for the expansion to arrive since the title's release.
Ecumenical News, on the other hand, reports that the forthcoming "Dark Souls 3" could also be delayed. This is all due to the rumors about FromSoftware's president Hidetaka Miyazaki being busy this year. That he and the rest of the team are occupied with the developments involving a new IP. Either way, no confirmation has surfaced.
"Dark Souls 3" is expected to receive two DLCs prior to its conclusion. As for the second one, it is expected to arrive sometime in early next year. The said video game company wants to focus on brand new projects, something that is heavily inspired by the "Dark Souls 3" franchise.
