If there is someone who is really good at teasing anything Mortal Kombat X, it is no other than Ed Boon - the game's director himself. Just recently, he offered a new clue about the highly anticipated Kombat Pack 3 DLC, which somehow confirms that its release date may soon be revealed.
The said Mortal Kombat X was previously believed to be introduced at EVO. However, the event happened without a single mention of the DLC. This left lots of expecting fans dismayed, to say the least. Nonetheless, the anticipation continues.
According to Ecumenical News, the Mortal Kombat X director asked his Twitter followers if they plan to buy Microsoft's new console Xbox One S. Apparently, Boon laid out three options: "Yes," "No" and "Kombat Pack 3 Dammit."
Without a doubt, fans of Mortal Kombat X almost destroyed the third option in the poll. It acquired a total of 66 percent votes (over 13,000), completely diminishing the 7 percent and 27 percent received by "Yes" and "No" respectively. In one way or another, this clearly shows the fanbase's desire to acquire Kombat Pack 3. But of course, it is still up to Boon and the rest of the devs to finally unleash it.
Unfortunately, Boon did not specifically reveal a release date for the aforementioned Mortal Kombat X DLC. But hey, the poll is somewhat of an assurance that they are working on it.
Movie News Guide, on the other hand, reports that Boon previously promised a big Mortal Kombat X news coming very soon. He also pointed out that the said news was never meant for EVO, which is why nothing happened at the event.
It remains a mystery whether or not the big Mortal Kombat X news refers to Kombat Pack 3. While there is every chance that it could be, there is no knowing as to when it will be revealed.
