The Elder Scrolls 6 has been in the rumor mill since time immemorial. But it was only recently when Bethesda finally broke the silence, addressing all the speculations. Well, the good news is that the title will be developed, as it has been the studio's plan to deliver yet another installment for the titular franchise. The only catch, however, is it won't make its way to the gaming realm at least two years from now.
According to Express, Bethesda's very own Pete Hines iterated that The Elder Scrolls 6 is part of their wish list. That means fans can expect for the game to become a reality. But as for the question of when, it remains a mystery.
As a matter of fact, Hines himself admitted that The Elder Scrolls 6 is a title they don't want to give out in the consoles very soon. He even addressed the speculations about the new installment being unveiled in 2017 and/or 2018's Gamescom. The studio's founder said that the game is nowhere close to arriving next year and even the year after that.
In one way or another, it seems Bethesda is more focused on developing new titles other than The Elder Scrolls 6. And this is somehow true, as the studio indeed has a plan to work on two new projects. The titles of each, however, remains unknown.
Describing the market success behind the company's titles, Hines said that they do things differently from what their competitors do. That only a handful of studios -- with Bethesda being one -- that can efficiently allow exploration of massive worlds accompanied with intense level of interactivity. And sure enough, these are elements they want to apply to The Elder Scrolls 6 as well as the two untitled projects.
