Fallout 4 Update: Bethesda Keeps Hope Alive For PS4 Mods

One of the biggest disappointments that has befallen Fallout 4 fans is the cancellation of PS4 mods. Bethesda recently announced its status, stating that it was Sony's decision to do so. Of course, this doesn't extremely sit well to all players using the said console. After all, there's joy in modding. The good thing, however, is that the studio is looking to find a workaround. So, in one way or another, there's hope that these mods will still arrive to the system.

As previously reported here at iTech Post, among the possible reasons why Sony cancelled Fallout 4 PS4 mods is the possibility of hacks, piracies and/or exploitations. It's believe that allowing these mods to the console will result to public access, giving entrance to various developer-exclusive benefits. The only catch, though, is that the tech giant didn't explain why they have to resort with the cancellation.

It should be noted, however, that Bethesda is trying to generate a possible way to bring these Fallout 4 PS4 mods into existence. According to International Business Times, the support feature for the aforesaid mods is on the number one spot in the company's to-do list. It was Pete Hines himself who seemed to have confirm the idea.

Hines, via Twitter, said that he and the studio still desire for Fallout 4 mods to arrive in PS4. Although they can't get into the specifics, they're passionate in bringing the feature in one way or another. Of course, this should spark hope to the community.

The unfortunate thing about these Fallout 4 mods is the possibility of them not coming at all. Or perhaps, the studio can indeed find a workaround. However, as to the official release, it won't be anytime soon. Bethesda is definitely running out of time.
