Motorola has given Verizon exclusive rights on the Moto Z devices last summer. However, now, the unlocked version of the device has already been made available. The price is quite high, but it's still good news for people looking for an unlocked version of the Moto Z.
Moto Z Unlocked Version Now Available
For $699.99, you can now own an unlocked Motorola Moto Z. It is currently available through Amazon, B&H and Motorola, says Android Police. As per the company's website, you can get the Moto Z for a full price of $699.99 or pay as low as $32.25 per month using a Moto Credit account. Motorola also boasts of the Moto Z being the 'world's thinnest premium smartphone' with an advanced low light camera and up to 30 hours of battery life.
Moto Z Specs
The Moto Z sports a 5.5 AMOLED screen with 1440 x 2560 pixel resolution. It runs Android Marshmallow out of the box but it is part of Motorola's list of Nougat-eligible devices. It will probably be getting the new Android update before the year ends.
The Moto Z is powered by the Snapdragon 820 and comes with 4 GB RAM. Two storage variants are available, 32 GB and 64 GB. The device also has a microSD slot for expandable storage of up to 256 GB. For the cameras, the Moto Z has a 13 MP f/1.8 primary camera with autofocus, OIS and dual LED dual tone flash. The device's 5 megapixels front camera also features a LED flash.
Like most premium smartphones, the Moto Z also has a fingerprint sensor and is fast-charging enabled. Furthermore, it also does have the popular midrange feature that is the FM radio. For the battery department, the Moto Z comes with a non-removable Li-Ion 2600 mAh battery. The device then comes in four possible colors. This includes white, black/gray, black/gold and black/rose gold.
