The recent episode of "Criminal Minds" was the mark of Thomas Gibson's final appearance in the series as Aaron Hotchner. Although fans believe that he did not get a well-deserved exit from the show, they are excited to have Paget Brewster back as Emily Prentiss.
"Criminal Minds" Star Thomas Gibson's Last Appearance In Recent Episode Of Season 12
The second episode of "Criminal Minds" season 12 recently aired last Wednesday and it has been reported that it was the last appearance of SSA Aaron Hotchner (Thomas Gibson) in the series. It can be recalled that Gibson was fired from the show after an altercation he had with one of the producers.
This already happened years ago, as a result to Gibson's anger. However, he was only reprimanded back then. Now, he was finally fired from the show while filming the second episode. Thus, it has been reported that his exit from the show will be covered later on.
However, Gibson was not given any much of an exit during the recent episode of "Criminal Minds," and fans believe he deserves more than that after being part of the show since the first season. The episode focused on SSA Jennifer "J.J." Jareau and her emotional involvement in the case.
Paget Brewster Returns To "Criminal Minds" As A Series Regular In Upcoming Episode
In the promo of the upcoming third episode, there wasn't even a mention of Hotch and his whereabouts. This is a big disappointment to fans, especially after Shemar Moore was given a wonderful exit from the show by choosing to be with his new family. However, the upcoming episode will also welcome back SSA Emily Prentiss (Paget Brewster) as a series regular, after her exit a few years ago.
Even at the loss of one main character, another beloved character from the series is also set to come back. Although this has already been confirmed prior to Gibson's incident on set with the producer, it is a great filler at the loss of Hotchner in the show.
The fans of the series will now have to wait for the show's plan on how they will explain Hotchner's exit from the BAU.
