"Survivor Series" is starting to look like it will hold one for the ages, as wrestling giants Brock Lesnar and Bill Goldberg is rumored to headline in a historical bout.
The promo will begin on Oct. 17 of Monday Night Raw, as Goldberg will make his big return from a 12-year hiatus in WWE's marquee programming. Bill Goldberg has already confirmed this on his twitter account by saying that he is already booking his flight to answer that big mouth's challenge in person. The big mouth he was referring to was Paul Heyman, who serves as Brock Lesnar's manager.
Of course, this news came from a challenge that Paul Hayman issued Bill Goldberg on a previous episode of Raw.
The two giants will be looking to redo their last match which was held on "Wrestlemania XX" in 2004. If was a highly anticipated bout that failed to live up to its massive expectations as both superstars, who were both leaving the brand at that time, seemed disinterested in giving a good match for the fans.
According to some rumors, Goldberg Vs. Lesnar will eventually culminate in a match at "Survivor Series" on November 20.
WWE icon Jim Ross, who is a great source at the inner workings of the famed wrestling company, posted on twitter that the Bill Goldberg vs. Brock Lesnar match is already a done deal and even congratulated the company for making such a massive match possible.
This definitely makes a lot of financial and promotional sense as Survivor Series will give the company enough time to promote a bout of this magnitude.
But one thing that could derail those plans is a rumor that places Shane McMahon opposite Lesnar on "Survivor Series". Fans would think that a Lesnar-Goldberg brawl would trump anything Shane O' Mac can offer. But according to the report, big boss Vince McMahon doesn't believe that to be the case.
Brock Lesnar vs. Bill Goldberg is a massive draw that will surely make a compelling "Survivor Series" this November. That is if Shane McMahon does a little sidestepping for the fans.
