EXO's Kai Gives Updates On Lay's Condition; Lay To Probably Join Japan Concert

EXO's Kai gave updates to fans through "Naver V Live" broadcast on Oct. 12 about fellow EXO member Lay's condition as well as updates about his own injury. Fans are worried after Lay fainted at Incheon Airport on Oct. 11 before boarding a plane to Japan.

According to Kai, the group's flight was delayed and they arrived in Japan later than expected. "Lay hyung is ill and didn't get on the plane with us. I know you all must be worried, but I think he's okay. He will probably take a flight here tomorrow," he said, as quoted by All Kpop.

SM Entertainment previously released a statement saying that Lay fainted due to lack of sleep and will be fine after some rest, but the agency did not give an update if the EXO member will take part in the Japan Concert. Lay has been busy recently with his solo album.

Talking about his recent injury, Kai said he is doing well after physical therapy. "My leg is much better. It's about 90% recovered. I can dance now. I went through physical therapy about 3 hours a day. Don't worry about me," he said.

He also said that his manager is watching him in the live broadcast and is worried about him but he thinks he will do well. "It's not something too difficult," Kai added.

Kai has not been able to participate much in EXO's activities since July after injuring his ankle. In the group's "EXO PLANET #3 - The EXO'rDIUM" concert in Seoul in July 24, the EXO member appeared on stage in a wheelchair and said he had hurt his ankle before while practicing for a concert and hurt the same ankle in July 23's performance, reported Soompi. He explained that his bones were not broken but the ligament was injured.

EXO is currently preparing for their concert on Oct. 13-14 at the Makomanai Sekisui Heim Ice Arena in Hokkaido, Japan.
