Rockstar's Release Of Red Dead Revolver Hints Red Dead Redemption 2 Arrival?

Red Dead Redemption 2 is one of the titles that fans have been highly anticipating from developer Rockstar Games. Unfortunately, the studio has been not so generous in releasing any updates about it. It's worth noting, however, that the video game company has unleashed the cult classic Red Dead Revolver on PS4. This, in one way or another, has birthed the speculation of a possible RDR2 release.

The rumor about Red Dead Redemption 2 came to light when Rockstar made the aforementioned Western-themed game downloadable on Sony's console. It was first released back in May 2004, gaining positive reviews from the community. A month after that, the title has found its way to Microsoft's Xbox console. Around December of 2012, it was re-released, but only to PlayStation 3.

Unlike Red Dead Redemption 2, the release of Red Dead Revolver wasn't much of a surprise. Many have already believed that the latter game will soon be released. Just last month, a known insider by the name of Wario64 pointed out that the Australian PlayStation Network included Revolver in a list. It was soon taken down.

As previously reported here at iTech Post, one of the most talked about features of Red Dead Redemption 2 is its online multiplayer. It remains unofficial though, but some are speculating that Rockstar wants to bring the same feature from GTA 5. In one way or another, this could give RDR2 a fresh new look.

Unfortunately, Rockstar has remained mum about Red Dead Redemption 2. Although the community has been clamoring for its existence, the studio continues to play the silent game. Hence it remains a mystery as to when the sequel will ever be released.

What are your thoughts on Red Dead Redemption 2 and Red Dead Revolver? Have you downloaded the latter in PS4 already? What are your expectations for the supposed sequel?
