Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 Update: New Characters Revealed, Will The Open Beta Be Extended?

Bandai Namco, developers of Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2, released the open beta edition of the game. However, it came with faults, prompting fans to ask for extension. The developers also released a trailer that showed Black Goku and two new characters that will be available on the latest game based on the "Dragon Ball" animated series.

The Story Behind Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2

Bandai Namco just released a trailer showing Black Goku from the anime series. The trailer also teased Goku having a duel with the blue super saiyan Vegetta on the ruins like the scene in "Future Trunks." However, the character's availability will be exclusive for the gamers who pre-ordered Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2.

Black Goku is Zamasu in a different timeline. He is also the main antagonist in Dragon Ball Super and Future Trunks. Goku used the Dragon Balls in order to swap his body to the body of his son during his present time.

After Zamasu's success on killing Goku and his family, he proceeded in pushing his plans called "zero Mortal Plans." Basically, his plans involved the destruction of human race from different timelines and the whole universe.

The two other characters who are exclusive for the gamers who pre-ordered the game will be available as downloadable content (DLC). Another speculation is that if Super Saiyan Rose is included in the game or not.

Open Beta Of Dragon Ball, Unsuccessful

When Bandai Namco announced the latest Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2, fans were rejoicing and were excited about the release on Oct. 25 and open beta is offered to the fans in order to have an advance look and try the new game called open beta.

But fans were disappointed because open beta was not available for all. They are saying that the free version of Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 is limited to some users only, thus, leading the fans into asking for an extension of open beta of the game.

Bandai Namco remained silent about the complaints of several fans regarding the limits of open beta to them. The fans are not sure whether they will blame Sony or the developers. The fans are hoping for an extension of the open beta mode because they want to test whether the game is good enough just like its predecessor.
