Call Of Duty: Infinite Warfare Update: Beta Receives Extension; Now Adds Gun Game Mode

Activision has announced through a blog post that Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare Beta version is extended for one more day. Along with the extension, the game has added a new multiplayer game mode called the Gun Game.

Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare beta has experienced ups and downs throughout its first phase. Despite the game's server issues on day one, people are still actively participating in the beta which inspires Infinity Ward to keep those players engaged. Yesterday, it was reported that the beta added Kill Confirmed gamer mode and a new map called Precinct. Currently, the studio is releasing another update which adds Gun Game mode to the Call of Duty: Infinity Warfare beta version.

According to Game Rant, Gun Game mode first appeared in Call of Duty: Black Ops. Gun Game begins with all players having similar weapons at hand, each kill enables them to advance to the next weapon in the ladder. The winner will be announced if a player will first achieve a kill on all of the weapons in Gum Game mode. It is a very simple concept, however due to its popularity, it was retained on most Call of Duty games since Black Ops.

Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare multiplayer beta has five game modes and four maps listed as to date. However, with the time running out, some beta testers feel that they will not be able to explore them all. Thankfully, Activision shares some good news to those who are enjoying the upcoming game's beta version. The company recently announced that they are extending it for one day. That means the first phase will now officially end on Oct. 18 at 10AM Pacific Time.

In addition, fans will not wait for too long as the second phase of the Call of Duty: Infinity Warfare Beta is slated for release on Oct. 21 until Oct. 24. It was expected that the second phase will add more maps and multiplayer game modes for players to try it out. However, for the very least, fans will expect a similar content to the first phase, which includes the new Defender mode and Team Deathmatch.

Apparently, the PS4 timed-exclusivity will not apply when second phase starts. That means Xbox One owners will take the game to action immediately. On the other hand, PC owners will have to wait until the game's official launch next month.

Call of Duty: Infinity Warfare will be available on Nov. 4 for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
