Everyone loves Pokemon Go that even if it has certain glitches and show stoppers, people would just shrug them off and continue to play after an app restart, even a phone restart. Sure, we may encounter some minor hiccups during gameplay but there are some glitches that would get to you and you end up taking a break for a while. Still, you still love the game no matter what.
A post at Reddit compiles a huge list of minor and major glitches for Pokemon Go with their suggested workarounds. We will try to elaborate some of them on the following paragraphs. Get that pen and paper and start taking notes.
Invisible opponents
Sometimes when you battle at gyms in Pokemon Go, you notice that the fight is on but you don't have any opponent. What's worse is that an invisible enemy is already hurting your Pokemon as you observe your HP bar mysteriously decreasing. The Silph Road says that it is caused by a game asset or sprite not properly loading on your device. In a sense, your enemy is there but its graphic images did not appear. A workaround for this will be loading ahead these sprites by visiting your Pokedex and allow the graphics to appear.
Instant death and mysterious damages
At some point, Pokemon Go trainers will experience instant death or huge damages upon battling in gyms. According to Gamefaqs.com, this happens when another player is fighting the same defender. In a sense, you share the damage already taken by the other trainer upon entering the gym. This glitch is also discussed on Reddit. Apparently, the only way to resolve this is to choose a non-crowded gym. Other Reddit users suggest you should dodge often right away when you enter a crowded gym.
Adding prestige to a rival gym
This usually happens when you train on friendly gyms in Pokemon Go and in effect adding to your team's gym prestige. Bad news is when that particular gym has already been taken down by opposing teams, and when you finish training, the prestige will be added to the rival team instead. There is no known workaround for this but you can just avoid training on friendly gyms that are low level. High level gyms have lower chances of being taken down.
