The Thursday episode of The Ellen DeGeneres Show could not get hotter. Justin Hartley played the "Oops! My Water Broke," helping the show raise funds with Ulta Beauty for a research institute that specializes in Breast Cancer Research.
The audience applauded louder when Hartley was assisted by his fellow guest actress, Rachel McAdams.
Hartley, 39, willing sat shirtless on a red chair. DeGeneres, 58 and host of the show, helps McAdams, 37 to remove sticks above Hartley. The sticks were places in a plastic cylinder which holds up a couple of pink water balloons.
The number of dwindling sticks allows the balloons to drop below where Harley was sitting.
Ulta Beauty pledged to donate $10,000 to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation for any person who will be willing to get wet on the show. To further add to the challenge, Ulta Beauty pledged another $10,000 if Hartley will play shirtless during the game.
"I don't think this looks good for you," said DeGeneres while pulling the last stick.
Ellen and Justin reminisced their first met up during the show. The two stars shared a clip as Hartley presented Ellen with the Daytime Emmy Award way back 2005.
"I remember this like it was yesterday. This was exciting for me. I was so happy for you and I remember you doing a little dance on stage," said Hartley said as DeGeneres showed a footage of the awards show on Thursday's episode of "Ellen."
Hartley, grew up from Orland Park. He is now better known for starring in the new NBC drama "This is Us."
Hartley recalls how he rose to stardom by doing stints in soap operas.
Hartley further shares his journey including having to share a dressing room with Precious, the Orangutan during his stint with Passions.
"It's been hard for me-I've been trying forever. I had to occasionally call my parents and be like, 'No, no, it's going to be fine. Trust me,'" confirmed Hartley. "Like they would call and say, 'Are you OK?'"
The 'This Is Us' star may have been drenched and shirtless- but he was successful in gathering a total of $ 20, 000 for the foundation.
