Dark Souls 3's DLC Ashes of Ariandel was accidentally released on Xbox One ahead of the planned launch date. However, PlayStation 4 and PC gamers will still need to wait for a little longer.
Dark Souls 3 DLC Ashes of Ariandel
Dark Souls 3's Ashes of Ariandel DLC pack was planned to be released on Oct. 25 but Xbox One gamers that owned Season Pass can already download the DLC pack, according to Eurogamer. It is clear that this is an accident and players seemed to be able to download it without a hitch.
Earlier, it was said that players need to booth Ashes of Ariandel while offline, but as per the report, going online now does not make a difference. All a player needs is a Season Pass to download the latest DLC.
Microsoft and Bandai Namco said that the updates of Dark Souls 3 will improve the Poise statistics value, making it more effective on weapons and armors. Also, Ashes of Ariandel DLC will enable the players to explore the "frozen land of Ariandel" and to solve the mystery of the region.
Bandai Namco's Reply With The Availability Of Ashes Of Ariandel
"Due to a logistical error, the Dark Souls III Ashes of Ariandel DLC was made available for download for a short period of time for Xbox One players. We have since corrected this scheduling error and the Dark Souls III Ashes of Ariandel DLC will now be available on October 24, 2016 at 3 PM PDT for Steam players and October 24, 2016 at 9 PM PDT for console players," Bandai Namco's response to Game Spot reads.
Season Pass holders can get Dark Souls 3: Ashes of Ariandel for free, but those who do not have one can buy the DLC for $15. On the other hand, they can also buy the Season Pass for $25 to get all the DLCs.
