Jennifer Lopez got an abrupt recollection while she was watching TV on Monday night.
The triple-threat star shared a clip from her 2002 romantic-comedy, Maid in Manhattan, and have had enough but adoring memories about portraying Tyler Posey's mother in the movie. "Late night flipping thru channels and came across this sweetness," Lopez, 47, wrote, adding the hashtags #MarissaandTy, #goodtimes and #TylerPosey.
Recap: Marisa Ventura (Jennifer Lopez) has made a good spirit for herself with her ten-year-old son, Ty (Tyler Garcia Posey), even if they don't have money. One Saturday morning Marisa brings Ty to the Beresford. She asks a colleague to keep an eye on him for her while she and another maid, Stephanie (Marissa Matrone), attend to their assignments.
One of the hotel guests, a spoiled trendsetter, Caroline Lane (Natasha Richardson), asks Marisa to regress some designer clothes for her. After Caroline leaves, Stephanie persuades Marisa into trying them on before taking them back to the store. In an abnormally giddy moment, Marisa slips into the chic, high-priced apparels.
Ty appears at the door with the good-looking Christopher Marshall (Ralph Fiennes), an ambitious U.S. Senator and one of Manhattans baccalaureates . Ty has come to ask Marisa's liberty to walk through Central Park with Christopher and his dog Rufus. Christopher is instantly attracted to Marisa. Presumptuous she is a hotel guest; he asks her to join them. She is about to refuse, but Stephanie mediates and accepts for her.
Despite an unmistakable spark between them, Marisa is unwilling to incite Christopher, fearing she'll lose all that she's worked so hard to build up. But he chases her, even though it could endanger his political career.
As romance, false- identity and gossip-monger collide, Marisa and Christopher finds out that the bigger your dreams, the better the chance they might come true. Fourteen years later, Posey is now a 25-year-old actor that stars in MTV's Teen Wolf and is dating Bella Thorne.
Back in 2014, Posey reunited with his onscreen mom at the Teen Choice Awards, which he hosted. "I know we haven't seen each other since Maid in Manhattan, which was forever ago, but I thought that maybe if you needed a backup dancer, I'd fit. What do you think?" he joked with Lopez onstage.
