Despite ongoing reports that "The Originals" is bound for cancellation after its season four release, the fans have not lost hope for their favourite spin-off to stand on its own despite the upcoming end of its predecessor, "The Vampire Diaries." Moreover, fans are still continually hoping for Klaus and Carline to find their way to each other's arms once again.
"The Originals" Season 4 To Conclude The Series Already?
When the news of "The Originals" getting lesser episodes and a later release date for its upcoming season four, there have been speculations that this will already be the final season for the series. However, CW president Mark Pedowitz exclaims his high hopes that the series will still be seeing the light of day in season five. Nonetheless, there have also been reports claiming that if the show gets cancelled on CW, it will just air on another network instead.
The upcoming season four of "The Originals" will feature a new villain, to be portrayed by actor Michael Narducci. Although his character hasn't been revealed yet, it is highly possible that it is someone from the Mikaelson's past who is holding a grudge against the family. Moreover, Klaus still needs to be saved given how it was left off during the third season finale. In line with this is the speculation that Caroline from "The Vampire Diaries" will crossover with "The Originals" to be his salvation.
Stefan-Caroline-Klaus Love Triangle To Be Tackled Once "The Original" Returns?
However, Caroline is already happily in a relationship with Stefan in "The Vampire Diaries" and fans have been wondering how they will get Klaus and Caroline back together. Despite her relationship with Stefan, many fans know from when Klaus made his debut on the series that his great love has always been Caroline, although that hasn't been tackled very much in "The Originals." With the predecessor series coming to an end, there is a high chance for Caroline or any of the characters to join the cast of the spin-off. Does this mean that a love triangle will occur between Caroline, Stefan and Klaus? More shall be revealed when "The Originals" return in 2017.
