During the EW PopFest held just recently, actor Grant Gustin teases the coming of the new evil speedster to Central City, that goes by the name of Savitar. That and more synopsis revealed as "The Flash" progresses in the third season.
"The Flash" Season 3 To Have A New Evil Speedster Coming To Central City Very Soon
Entertainment Weekly's PopFest included the stars and the heroes of the CW network, including Barry Allen/The Flash (Grant Gustin). Of course he was not able to stir away from the questions about what is to expect as "The Flash" season three is currently running, revealing more mysteries and meta humans as the series progresses. The actor then revealed that the show will introduce another evil speedster into the storyline, Savitar, and he is coming to Central City "very, very soon" according to the actor.
When Gustin was asked whether or not it's true that the new evil speedster will be Harrison Wells (Tom Cavanagh) of Earth 19, the actor was quick to stir away from the question by saying, "no spoilers." Among the panel was the Executive Producer of the show, Greg Berlanti and he backed up Gustin's revelation on the new evil speedster. "He's the god of motion, so Flash is up against his biggest foe yet," said Berlanti. It can be recalled that the fans thought they have already seen the worst of all the speedster villains during the last season, but it looks like someone else will always be stronger and more powerful.
Reverting Back The Timeline Will Not Be Part Of The Options During This Season
Berlanti also cleared out that the changes made during the Flashpoint is most likely going to be permanent, since it is unlikely they will be able to revert back to the original timeline. It gives them more room to let the characters grow, rather than going back continuously to what's familiar. It's not the characters who will only grow, but also the people behind the entire production as well.
Nevertheless, there is still room for things to get fixed in this timeline that will bring peace to the fans of the series. "The Flash" episode five will air on November 1, Tuesday.
