The events that transpired during the airing of "the Vampire Diaries" season eight could greatly affect the course of the storyline of "The Originals" season four. This could be the case especially when speaking of the love story between Klaus and Caroline.
Does Stefan's Wedding Proposal For Caroline Mean The End For Possibility Of Klaus And Caroline To be Together?
As much they all love Caroline, some of the fans were disappointed at the proposal that Stefan made during the last episode of "The Vampire Diaries" season eight. Stefan made a wedding proposal to Caroline, one to which the latter said yes to. This has then led the fans to believe that Caroline crossing over to "The Originals" to be with Klaus is now next to impossible. However, it doesn't seem to be agreed upon by everyone.
Mystic Falls has been known not to have any happy endings, as said by actor Ian Somerhalder who plays Damon in the series. Thus, even though Stefan proposed to Caroline, a lot of things could still get in the way of their happy ending. This then gives Caroline a chance to go to New Orleans, and be Klaus's salvation in "The Originals." This plotline has been well discussed by everyone and it is impossible that it doesn't reach the writers of the show. Recent polls done among the fans of both series resulted to "Klaroline" as the most beloved pair up among all the pairs in both shows.
Hope Is Not Yet Over, Caroline Could Still Crossover To "The Originals" In Upcoming Season
Thus, hope is not yet over for the fans rooting for Klaus and Caroline to get together once and for all. It has also been revealed that some of the characters from "The Vampire Diaries" may still be seen even after the finale, which can be done with a crossover with "The Originals." As far as the storyline for the latter goes, executive producer Julie Plec recently said that what inspires the creativeness they make with the series is author Stephen King and his thriller books. As opposed to "The Vampire Diaries" which is filed with love stories, "The Originals" is more focused on building an empire as a family, and getting through obstacles altogether.
