As "The Vampire Diaries" season eight gets closer to its end with each episode every week, there have been more revelations, surprises and different innuendoes with the characters and their storylines. Nina Dobrev's Return To Be The Highlight Of "The Vampire Diaries" Season 8
Nina Dobrev returning to "The Vampire Diaries" season eight as either Elena or Katherine has been one of the most talked about issues on the internet the past couple of weeks. Ever since the announcement was made that the series is already coming to an end, the fans have already been expecting the actress to return to the show. Ever since her exit during the season six finale, the show hasn't been the same, thus allegedly explaining it finally ending.
Will Jeremy Gilbert (Steve McQueen) Also Return To The Series Along With His Sister Elena (Nina Dobrev)?
However, the actress's return hasn't been confirmed yet, neither has it been denied. Executive producer Julie Plec has not given up on the possibility of her return, feeding fans with teasers about it. Aside from fans wanting Dobrev to come back, another character whose return has been pleaded by the fans is Jeremy Gilbert (Steve McQueen). They have been hoping for the Gilbert family to re-join the cast, even as guest stars, to give closure to their characters being left behind.
Sadly, it has been reported that McQueen is currently in the works of having his own TV show, thus perhaps making it hard for him to return to "The Vampire Diaries." Nevertheless, the fans have remained hopeful that all of the original cast will somehow find a way to come back for the finale. With Dobrev allegedly having promised Plec about coming back to the show, her return is the one most likely to happen, but it might not be to reunite with Stefan.
Will Steroline Have Their Happy Ending? Or Will Caroline Be Shifting Off To "The Originals?"
The show started with Stefan and Elena's love story but as the show progresses, they have both gone their separate ways and moved on to being in love with somebody else. With that in line, it still took everyone by surprise when in the last episode, Stefan proposed to Caroline and the latter of course said yes. However, "The Vampire Diaries" hasn't had a good track record on happy endings, thus there may be a way for the couple to drift apart. With the allegations that Caroline (Candice Accola-King) will be shifting off to "The Originals" when the series ends, Steroline might not have their happy ending after all.
