'The Flash' Movie Update: Release Date Moved By Warner Bros’ Film; Loses Its Director Again

Seems like "The Flash" movie's target date is going to be moved once more as this Warner Bros' film loses another director. Rick Famuyiwa, who got rave journals with his Sundance hit Dope, had called it quits with Warner Bros' studio after their creative ideas clashed. He spent some months on the project since June this year as the movie is already in the pre-assembly phase. He was even there during Kiersey Clemons' and Billy Crudup's forming for the lead roles.

The Flash Movie's Target Date Is Going To Be Moved Again

Barry Allen will be played by Ezra Miller. Production schedule was to begin in March 2017 because release date is aired for March 16, 2018. This may cause a delay and Miller has another promise to fulfill in July.

In a statement released to THR, Famuyiwa said Monday, "When I was approached by Warner Bros. and DC about the possibility of directing The Flash, I was excited about the opportunity to enter this amazing world of characters that I loved growing up, and still do to this day."

He added, "I was also excited to work with Ezra Miller, who was a phenomenal young actor. I pitched a version of the film in line with my voice, humor and heart. While it's disappointing that we couldn't come together creatively on the project, I remain grateful for the opportunity. I will continue to look for opportunities to tell stories that speak to a fresh generational, topical, and multicultural point of view. I wish Warner Bros., DC, Jon Berg, Geoff Johns and Ezra Miller all the best as they continue their journey into the speed force."

The First One To Go - Set Grahame-Smith

Prior to Famuyiwa, Seth Grahame-Smith was its first director who also quit. He was the one who wrote the scenario and was so-called director of the film. Unfavourably, his creativeness to take on the project also did not match that of the studio's expectations. With a slated March 2018 release, will there be time enough to produce the movie, or will it get blackballed in the end? Warner Brothers must figure things out -and soon. The clock is ticking and fans are waiting!
