Dark Souls 3: Ashes Of Ariandel Best Weapon # 1: Earth Seeker
The Earth Seeker is an axe of the Millwood Knight that focuses on Strength and Faith. It moves slower, yet it can deal more damage. According to Twinfinite, it is more effective against NPCs, but it can also serve you good against other players because of its long range.
It can be found just after the bonfire in the Snowy Mountain pass. Be warned though, there are three Millwood Knights guarding the greataxe so you better buckle up. You will find it in a cave.

True to its name, it is indeed a scythe. Many have commented that this is the best available weapon in Dark Souls 3 DLC, but there are a whole lot of others in the game that can compete. Focused on Dexterity and Intelligence, it can conjure a magic-bladed scythe that sits in your left hand. What makes it more powerful is the Frost magic that deals great damage.
The weapon can only be obtained by completing the DLC storyline and defeating the final boss. You will receive the Soul of Sister Friede, which you can use in the Transposition Oven. You can choose to create Rose of Ariandel instead but don't.

Valorheart is focused on Strength. It is a combination of a shield and a sword, the simplest there is. When you wield both, you can create a combo of attacks that involve both items. The weapon has the skill Lion Stance that lets your character attack without losing his defense and shield bash incoming enemies.
It is also an NPC drop. You will have to defeat the Champion's Gravetender to get her weapon.
