There are many collectibles in Dishonored 2 that are worth completing. There are Runes, Shrines, Paintings, Blueprints, Coins and Bone Charms that serve different purposes in the game. There is a certain number of each item in each mission. In this guide, we will cover all the collectibles that can be found in Chapter 1 A Long Day in Dunwall and even the safe locations and combinations.
Dishonored 2 Chapter 1: A Long Day In Dunwall Collectibles
There is a total of nine chapters in Dishonored 2. The first mission of the player, whether playing as Emily or Corvo, is called A Long Day in Dunwall. This is the most important part of the game as it is where you would choose your character. In this story, you will find no Rune, Shrine, Bonecharm or Blueprint. There are, however, two paintings you can obtain that are worth a lot of coins. Keep your eyes peeled always to get the "Art Collector" achievement.
"Curtis, Morgan and the Postulate Child" can be found after leaving the Safe Room in Dunwall. Look to your right and you can see the painting, which can give you 200 coins.
"The Obtuse Arguments of Lady Boyle" is right inside a building with a large "For Rent" sign out front. Climb up the stairs, go inside and look to your left. The first door has the painting inside by the fireplace. There is also a safe here; more info below.
Another thing you can collect in Dishonored 2 A Long Day in Dunwall are coins. There are 1,490 coins in total that you can use to buy stuff in the Empire of the Isles. You can earn them by completing missions or by snooping around.
There are coins in the upper and lower floor in the Dunwall Tower. Be sure to check every nook and cranny as some like to hide in cabinets, dead bodies and in the pockets of NPCs. Outside Dunwall, check the Rooftops storeroom, Robbed Apartment, Boyle Industries Office, Doctor Galvani's Apartment, The Black Pony Pub, Halter's Hideout and The Warehouse.
Dishonored 2 Chapter 1: A Long Day In Dunwall Safe Locations, Combinations
As aforementioned, a safe can also be found in the building with a "For Rent" sign. Once you have spotted the safe, you must then find the combination to unlock it. The code differs with each player, so I will just tell you how to look for it.
There is a painting to the right of the safe. Look behind it and you will find the three-number combination to the Steel Safe. Inside, you will find 2 Silver Ingots, a Pistol and some Pistol bullets. Other Safe locations and combinations in other chapters can be found here.
