Final Fantasy XV Released Gameplay Video On PS4 Pro

Digital Foundry has released a detailed investigation on how Final Fantasy XV performs on PlayStation 4 Pro and it shows an impressive result. PS4 Pro has been out in thr market for about a week now, and most gamers are ready to unleash this powerful console through its bounds. The results has been mixed as of now with some supported game titles like The Last of Us: Remastered having frame rate issues on the new platform.

According to the report from Game Rant, several gamers are now in question on how Final Fantasy XV performs on PlayStation 4 Pro with the game title's release date just a couple of weeks away. Digital Foundry also feels the same way. As a result, they have made an almost seven minutes of video footage from Final Fantasy XV's Judgment Demo running on PlayStation 4 Pro.

Before anything else, it was recommended to watch it on an HDR-ready and 4K monitor in order to see some of the fine details of the video footage. In addition, those who are watching on a standard 1080p monitor would not be able to distinguish much of a difference. As seen from the early stage of the video footage made by Digital Foundry, it highlights the two current graphical settings that Final Fantasy XV is offering. Players will be able to choose between a high-quality rendering mode and a more lightweight version that looks similar visually with the latter PlayStation 4.

Additionally, Square Enix has previously announced that they are currently working on having a third option which is the 1080p/60 fps on PlayStation 4 Pro. However, it will not be available at Final Fantasy XV's official launch. Meanwhile, the high-quality mode seems to have a 3200x1800 resolution but Digital Foundry notes that it is not somewhat perfect due to checkboard rendering and low accuracy motion blur popping up every time.

Apparently, both high-resolution and lightweight modes will now run at 30fps without slowdown. By the end of the video, it shows that the PS4 Pro version of Final Fantasy XV looks better than the lightweight version. In addition, the HDR support is being considered as a great addition.

Final Fantasy XV will be out officially on Nov. 29 for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
